The Brief

To create a series of technical line drawings for Crispin Porter + Bogusky/Volkswagon.

Our Approach

When we were asked by Miami based agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky to create a number of technical line drawings for VW of America, we were thrilled. With great childhood memories of the original Beetle and classic VW campervan, it was the perfect project for us.

As well as illustrating the entire range of VW cars, we created detailed drawings of all the engines and transmissions. As these had some very intricate parts, we decided to keep the overall the style as simple and crisp as possible.

The images were used on the VW of America website and on the safety cards that go into all new VW vehicles in the USA. So the next time you take a VW on a road trip across the States, just think, you’ll be taking a little bit of us with you.

The Result

The illustrations proved to be incredibly popular with the client and have helped drive their business forward…pardon the pun.
