The Brief
To create the branding, main event website, two microsites and some marketing material for the 2010 Gateshead Digital Summer Festival.
Our Approach
We love everything digital, so when we were chosen to create the branding, marketing material and websites for the 2010 Gateshead Digital Summer festival, we were chuffed.
The festival is a seven week celebration of the digital world, and as it was the first of its kind in the region, we had to create something that blew everyone away. With that in mind we went big, bold and beautiful.
We also had to consider the fact that the festival was going to be for industry and the public, so it was important to find a happy balance between the two.
When it came to creating the main logo we included a number of local landmarks, but not in an overly obvious way. As the aim of the festival is to become an annual event, the logo also had to have longevity.
There was loads of information to fit into the main event site, and we did that with a simple but effective scrolling bar. It looks great and it works great.
As for the festival itself, it’s going to be seven weeks of wow, and we’re really proud to be involved.
The Result
With some events sold out in advance, and a lot of positive feedback from the public and client alike, it looks like the festival is going to be a big success.
