Cutting CO2 in our own creative way

We were briefed to help those working in the Gateshead Civic Centre cut their energy use – both within the office and at home. Although originally briefed to create a poster campaign we didn’t think this would achieve the right level of impact, so we recommended something completely different, and they loved our idea.

We created a short animated film that highlighted how the simple little things can make a huge impact on the environment. The last thing we wanted was to create a film that “lectured” – instead we wanted the film to be fun and informative.

Taking an infographic style we designed a replica of the interior of the Civic Centre, which made the location instantly recognisable to the viewer. We also researched the little habits of those who worked within the building and brought those into the film.

We’re really happy with the result, and so was the client. Here’s hoping it does the trick and helps the guys cut their energy waste.

To see the film, please pop back here on July 5th for the official launch.
